Garner Dolphins update
July 17th
Hello Garner Dolphins nation!
We’ll have another parents meeting this Monday at 7 pm to go over prep for our final home meet and end of season activities.
Last home meet:
- Please sign up for a volunteer spot to help ensure the kids have an awesome experience.
- Put your swimmer in a great position to drop time by having them well rested, fed, and drinking lots of water.
- Have your swimmer sit with the rest of the team in the athlete area so it’s easier for kid pushers to get them to the clerk of course. If you have a pop up tent or toys (bubbles, games) bring it for the kids area.
- Meet admins will be next to the starter. We’ll have a wider area roped off around that section. Please make those volunteers’ jobs easier by being respectful of the space that’s roped off.
- The parent/coach relay was a blast last week, so we’d like to try that again for our final home meet. Bring your suit and let Coach Julie know if you’re interested!
TSA championship meet
- If you are interested, declare your swimmer today, Sunday 7/17.
- Make sure each swimmer has a completed waiver (LINK).
- There are no kid catchers in this meet and swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool legally. Sign your kids up via swimtopia and the coaches will enter them in their best events. If you have requests, let Coach Julie and Coach Jessica know.
- Fees for the meet are as follows:
- Swimmer Fee: $7.50
- $5.00 per individual event
- $10.00 per relay event ($2.50 per Swimmer)
- We’ll figure out the total for each family once the entries are complete and I’ll follow up with a request for payment.

End of year banquet
- We’ve secured the pool and clubhouse for a Friday night (7/29) banquet.
- Arrival time is 5:30 pm, we’ll get the pot luck line going around 6 pm and start the awards after everyone has a chance to get through the line.
- We can set up Thursday evening. Stephanie Shew is coordinating the event, so check with her if you’re interested in helping.
- Pool party till 10 pm.
