End of season pot luck, awards, and party!
Hello GDST nation!
The end of season banquet and awards ceremony are this coming Friday (7/29)!
Beth Swanson and Stephanie Shew are setting up tables, chairs, decorations, etc... If you can help, please meet them at the clubhouse Thursday at 6 pm. Thank you in advance!
If you haven't already, please sign up for one drink and a food item to share. Sign up is here.
The agenda/timing for the event is as follows:
5:30 pm - 6 pm arrival
6:00 pm - pot luck begins
~6:15 pm or after everyone has a chance to get through the pot luck at least once -
- Opening remarks and 2022 season recap
- Awards ceremony
- Closing remarks
~7:15 pm - Breakdown and cleanup
7:15 - 10 pm - pool party!
This has historically been a big social event for the kids. Typically they dress up a bit (some, not all), and bring their swim gear to change in to for the pool party. There will be photo ops when we bring the swimmers on stage by age group to receive participant trophies. Families usually rotate near the front of the room to get a pic when their swimmer is on stage. If you have any questions about the event, don't hesitate to respond to this email or reach out to parents that have seen this rodeo a few times.
