Our first official meet is this coming Tuesday @ Kitts Creek in Morrisville. Every swimmer in the meet should attend practice tomorrow (Monday). This is the largest team we’ll face all year. Let’s show them what we’ve got. Please wear your team or tie dyed shirts to show our team spirit. If you missed making a tie dye shirts, Coach Julie will have supplies to make one at Monday's practice. Bring a shirt!

It’s awesome to see a great turnout for the volunteer spots for this meet! There are a few more spots available for sign up.

• One Clerk of Course, we have one experienced volunteer that can teach another.
• Four 2nd half timers, we have four timers already, and if we can have four more it’ll make it easier for everyone.

General info for the meet

The pool address is: 6333 Kit Creek Rd, Morrisville, NC27560. They have a 6-lane, 25 yard pool. Visiting team warm-ups start at 5:30 pm, the first event starts at 6:00 pm. Please have your kids at the pool ready to be checked in by 5:15 pm. 

They do not have lights for the meet and will need to finish the meet by about 8:30 pm. Due to the time constraints, they may need to limit the number of heats depending on the number of entered swimmers. The goal is to have every athlete swim a minimum of two individual events.

They use the Dolphin timing system and all equipment will be provided.

Parking

Parking is limited at the clubhouse, but we have overflow parking up the street by the gazebo. Parking is not allowed on the street at the pool, but we do have street parking throughout the neighborhood. Please ask your parents to pay attention to the no parking signs.

Pool Deck

Our team's home base for the evening will be the left side of the pool near the main entrance. There is one permanent shade structure as well as a couple of umbrellas for shade. You may want to bring canopies if you have them. Camping chairs are also fine as there is limited seating.

Concessions

The concession stand will be open and brimming with the great food options. From pulled pork sandwiches to butter chicken to veggie burgers and more, there is something yummy for everyone. They accept cash and credit card. A full menu is attached.

Upcoming home meets

Looking beyond this coming Tuesday to home meets, we need more signups for decorations, apparel, and associated items. This year’s themes are Hawaiian Luau, Pirates and Mermaids, and Christmas in July.
