Garner Dolphins 6-30 update
Happy Friday Garner Dolphins Families!
The final score or this week’s meet was: Dolphins 308 and Rays 176. Congrats on another great win for our Garner Dolphins! Lots of great swims, time drops, and sportsmanship all around. In particular we want to give a shout to Gibson Trullinger, Tanner Sauls, Jackson Shew, Henry Zeren, & Lee Williams for cheering on their teammates & congratulating their opponents. Well done! And congrats to Hudson DeGroote for breaking pool records in the 50 breastroke and 50 freestyle!
Next week’s meet is on Wednesday, July 5th. We’re swimming against the Crooked Creek Crocs. They have 6 lanes that are 25 yards long. The pool is not licensed to operate past dusk, so we will likely end the meet around 8:30 pm. They have 59 swimmers and use stopwatches. The pool address is: 5729 Brushy Meadows Drive, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526. We’ll share more information about parking, concessions, etc…when their TSA rep contacts us. Please check the volunteer sign up and help if you can.
Next Monday (July 3rd), practice will be earlier in the day to accommodate for many families going to the celebration at Lake Benson Park. 10 & under will be from noon - 12:45 pm and 11-18 will be from 12:45 - 1:30 pm. We’ll operate with 3 lanes and will be sharing space with members that day.
Tomorrow morning we’ll be serving chicken minis and fruit from Chick-Fil-A courtesy of one of our sponsors: Lauren Wagner with The April Stephens Team of eXp Realty. Not that you need anything to motivate your athletes to get out of bed early Saturday morning...but here you go! :)
